Examples of acute illnesses that lend themselves to telemedicine visits include cold symptoms, allergies and sinusitis, rash, diarrhea, minor cuts or burns, back pain, muscle strains and sprains, migraines.
Telemedicine is not for medical emergencies.
You should not use telemedicine if you’re experiencing any life-threatening symptoms, like chest pain or shortness of breath. In that case, please call 911 or go to your nearest emergency department.

Medication Refills
Narcotic policy: We do not refill or prescribe narcotic medications or other controlled substances (including benzodiazepines) via telemedicine appointments. Please see your chronic pain or primary care physician.
Referrals to the ER
If in the course of our visit, we determine you need to seek immediate emergency department care, we will help coordinate your transition to the emergency department.
