Cancer Nutrition

- Pre-diagnosis
- If you have been diagnosed with a familial cancer syndrome or you are identified as high risk for developing cancer later, we can help you maximize your diet to minimize your cancer risk.
- During treatment
- Nutrition plans are focused on alleviating side effects from chemotherapy, increasing appetite, providing nutrient and calorie dense foods, anticipating the need for supplementation, enteral, or parental nutrition.
- This is a nutrition plan that is meant to supplement your oncologist’s recommendations and ideally is incorporated into your comprehensive oncology treatment plan.
Weight Loss
- We do not use specific weight loss supplements or fad diets. The best way to achieve lasting weight loss results that will also promote overall health is a lifestyle change to a whole food plant based diet. But, there are strategies using meal timing, intermittent fasting, thermogenesis of certain foods, food pairing, eating certain foods that promote weight loss, and addressing hormonal imbalances, such as thyroid disease, that can maximize your weight loss.
